So I have decided since I just started this blog and he has officially been out for three months I will give a quick update on everything that has happened!
February 8: Kyler and I said our last goodbyes after a wonderful dinner with his family
February 9: Kyler entered the MTC
Feb 9- April 25: Kyler was in the MTC where a ton happened. First he learned Hungarian ( The language he will be speaking for the next 2 years of his life). He had some pretty amazing experiences while in the MTC that helped his testimony grow a lot. He would like to keep them personal so I have decided not to share those on here. He was called to be his District Leader while in the MTC which he was super stoked about. Anyways besides the constant studying and learning he did meet a few friends that he said will be in touch for the rest of his life. First Elder Wright aka Preston.... They became BFFs while in the MTC and made quite hilarious videos to send back home. Preston's girlfriend and I have started sharing stories etc and it has been awesome to have someone so close to the situation to talk to. Ky says when they ( the boys) get back us four are going to have lots of date nights together!! Cant wait!!:) So on we go with more MTC for 2 1/2 months... YES its the longest mission to be in the MTC, I am told it is because the language is so hard to learn. Look it up on you tube it will blow your mind. ANYWAYS....
April 25: I received my phone call from Elder Carlsen aka Ky at 4:00 p.m..... best day of the mission so far!! At least on my end.....
May 8: Got to go to the Carlsens and skype my boy!! BETTER day than before.....
May 10: received a new email! Which unfortunately will be my last.. He had "greenie" training Monday and was told they can only email family which he said completely stunk to hear but he wants to follow the rules so he can be blessed out there... ( love him!) Anyway the email just told me how happy he was and that he cant wait to come back out with me and show me all the amazing places. He said that the language is finally starting to come to him and that he can actually understand some people now. The family he is working with right now has an 8 year old daughter that he said LOVES Hannah Montana so they sing a lot of those songs together... Kyler and his singing..... So there's a small portion of the last three months!!

Letter #1 from Hungary
I just received my first letter from Hungary! He's doing amazing and is loving it there. Within the first hour of landing he gave a lesson and has taught around seven lessons. He has one family that seems pretty interested and he believes the fifteen year old will be the first to convert. He said the food there is delicious so we won't need to worry about him starving or anything. A little experience for the day:
He was heading to an investigators house when one of his bike pedals broke, unfortunately the investigator lived up a "mountain" aka a steep hill. Kyler said by the time he got to the top of the hill he was sweating so bad it looked like he had just gotten out of the shower. Needless to say he needed a shower after that visit.
Everything seems to be going well, he is just trying to get used to the culture and the language for now. He says its beautiful and that me and him will have to go back and visit in the future! Can't wait:)
